1.   Anna Grabka, Laura Cazzaniga and Joelle Boulogne led a mainly female corps in the first movement before the ensemble in the second and third broke up into couples.

2.   As each member of the female corps steps into arabesque, repetition multiplies the same single image.

3.   One jarring stylistic detail, incidentally, is the way the female corps crosses a foot over the knee in the jump known as pas de chat.
