1.   A credit line is the cash farmers borrow every year to fund their farming operations in the upcoming year.

2.   Over the years, the farmers there borrowed from the state bank for seeds and fertilizer and other goods.

3.   Farmers can borrow long-term and mid-term loans to start farming projects or maintain crops.

5.   Farmers usually borrow money for seeds and other supplies and pay off the loan at harvest time.

6.   As a result the government has this year introduced a grain loan scheme under which communal farmers borrow grain from the government and repay it in years of plenty.
