1.   Twenty three quadruple loop ileal pouches constructed for ulcerative colitis and familial adenomatous polyposis No patient fulfilled clinical, endoscopic, or histopathological criteria for pouchitis.

2.   Restorative proctocolectomy is a useful operation for ulcerative colitis, familial adenomatous polyposis, and some diseases where colonic function is severely disturbed.
