1.   Police officials outside the Western Detention Center in Mayaguez confirmed that the disturbance had been ended without injuries.

2.   Police used tear gas to end the disturbance Tuesday at the Monte Esperanza prison.

3.   Minor incidents still are reported, particularly from Shiite villages, but a dialogue between the government and elders and other dignitaries largely has ended the disturbances.

4.   The Bahraini army said for the first on Saturday that it was ready to intervene to end the disturbances.
