1. After becoming president, Clinton was praised for pledging to enact a measure to lift the ban on homosexuals in the military. 2. Congress has helped make the odds by enacting measure after measure designed to keep incumbents in office. 3. From Los Angeles to Athens, city authorities have tried to enact measures to limit exhaust emissions. 4. Over the years since union, there have been innumerable instances of Parliament enacting measures which conflict with the terms of union. 5.
