1.   A long list of flowering bushes and trees, from forsythia and cherry to pear to ornamental quince, can be forced into early bloom indoors.

2.   After the long, cold winter, too many early blooms were dying.

3.   Bring your armload of branches indoors, put them in water and force them into early bloom.

4.   Forcing twigs and branches of late-winter flowering trees and shrubs into an early bloom is easy.

5.   Lenten rose, whose early blooms were mushed, is putting out new ones, restoring a little bit of spring lost.

6.   Nearly any hardy bulb can be forced into early bloom.

8.   Remember, what you are doing is forcing the dormant buds into early bloom.
