1.   Each book contains an unnumbered introductory unit teaching the complete phonemic alphabet and this is constantly revised and practised throughout both levels.

2.   Each book goes up one step in difficulty.

3.   Each book is beautifully illustrated.

4.   Each book was accessioned and the catalogue data entered into the microcomputer.

5.   At least one from each book.

6.   Although each book purports to be a complete novel, none of them truly stand alone.

7.   And each book will contain six or seven one-page color advertisements.

8.   Another complaint, and to me more legitimate, was that the culinary focus of each book was too narrow.

9.   At some point in each book, I panic.

10.   Bradbury contributes lovely introductions for each book.
