1.   Recent reports indicate that two new drug refineries were opened along the border between Burma and India in order to increase the supply of heroin to India.

2.   People along the rivers assist in setting up clandestine drug refineries, transporting cocaine and protecting shipments, it said.

3.   All the drug refineries are believed to be guarded by heavily armed guerrillas belonging to ethnic minority groups, he said.

4.   Gelbard said the campaign seemed to be more about conquering territory than eliminating drug refineries or capturing traffickers.
