Clusters of showers and thunderstorms will develop across parts of Nebraska and Kansas as the arriving disturbance lifts increasingly moist air streaming north from the Gulf of Mexico. 4. Clusters of showers and thunderstorms will flare over the southern Appalachians as a jet stream disturbance lifts moderately humid surface air. 5. Farther west, a large area of thunderstorms will develop in the eastern Dakotas and Minnesota as a jet stream disturbance rapidly lifts tropical air near the ground. 6. Farther south, thunderstorms will erupt over parts of the Middle Atlantic and Southeast seaboards as a jet stream disturbance lifts rather humid air. 7. Farther east, scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop over parts of Utah and Nevada as the arriving jet stream disturbance vigorously lifts warm surface air. 8. Farther south, rain will develop in eastern North Carolina and Virginia later Saturday as a formidable jet stream disturbance lifts moist surface air. 9. Friday, clusters of showers and thunderstorms will develop over the northern Middle Atlantic and southern New England states as the arriving disturbance lifts warm, moist air. 10. Meanwhile, a few thunderstorms will blossom from the Deep South to the lower Mississippi valley as a disturbance lifts the sultry air mass. |
