1.   Ample sun will prevail in southern California and the Southwest while a disturbance brings clouds and showers to portions of northern California and the Northwest Coast.

2.   An exception to the bright conditions will be found over the high ground of New England, where a weak disturbance brings clouds and a few sprinkles.

3.   An exception will be across central California, where a disturbance will bring clouds and spotty showers to the Sierra.

4.   An unusually strong jet stream disturbance will bring cool, showery weather to northern sections of the interior West and Pacific Northwest.

5.   Another Pacific disturbance will bring rain and mountain snow to the northwest.

6.   Another Pacific disturbance will bring showers to the Northwest coast but the heaviest rain will remain offshore.

7.   Another disturbance will bring a touch of rain or snow starting later Thursday night.

8.   A compact jet stream disturbance will bring chilly rain to eastern Georgia and South Carolina.

9.   A jet-stream disturbance will bring widespread showers and some high-elevation snow from Wyoming to the Bitterroot mountains of Idaho and Montana.

10.   A disturbance will bring a wintry mixture to the Great Lakes and a few showers to the Ohio Valley.
