1.   Last season Galaxy coach Sigi Schmid showed his eye for talent by signing New Zealander Simon Elliott as a foreign discovery player.

2.   Rookie goalie Cesar Delgado, who was signed in January as a discovery player, took the net and showed his inexperience.

3.   Ruiz, who participated in the recent Gold Cup tournament, signed a multiyear contract with Major League Soccer and was allocated to the Galaxy as a discovery player.

4.   The Galaxy signed midfield Ivan Polic, a native of Kraljevo, Yugoslavia, as a discovery player.

5.   The Revolution have until the end of May to add two allocated players and a discovery player.
