1.   Al Arqam leader Ashaari Muhamad reportedly claimed he was a messiah and was accused of deviationist teachings.

2.   An opposition party is spreading deviationist Islamic teachings, and the Home Ministry plans an investigation to decide on possible action against it, a senior official said Sunday.
