2.   Several organizations also are developing Windows-like graphical desktop interfaces for Linux that will position it as a true alternative to Windows for home users.

3.   Sun Microsystems also plans to announce that it will adopt the Gnome desktop user interface for its Solaris operating system.

4.   They plan to take some of the best ideas on computer ease of use and blend them into a new visual desktop interface for Linux.

5.   Under that scenario, Microsoft, would dominate the operating system and the desktop interface, while Oracle controls the flow of data through the networks.
