1.   It was a cynical strategy to maintain his support among Serbs and divert public attention from his corruption and mismanagement.

2.   It is a cynical strategy, since no accompanying change in policy is contemplated.

3.   It is an unnatural disaster, born of a cynical political strategy.

4.   Unfortunately, this cynical strategy is proving to be correct.

5.   When government officials institute such a cynical strategy, journalists like me must step forward and ask the tough questions.
