1.   A floor put down first, with the kitchen completely gutted, is more easily applied, and fewer tiles must be cut.

2.   Cover this with half-inch-wide border tiles or cut regular tile to cover it.

3.   Each new tile must be cut.

4.   If the tiles were not cut, then there is not much you can do but grout the joint and hope for the best.

5.   It is likely that you will have to cut some tiles and shape others to fit around the sink opening.

6.   The wheel does not cut the tile but only scores the surface.

7.   When all the tiles are cut to size, you can begin the installation.

8.   You may also have to cut the tiles that fit against the backsplash.
