1.   Armey said one bill he planned to bring up would for the first time guarantee all current Social Security recipients that their benefits would not be cut.

2.   Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, who had called for continued food stamps for all current recipients, said he would accept more restrictive eligibility.

3.   Both candidates guarantee that current recipients would have no reductions.
