1.   In the second suit, Colorado sought to enjoin lower court litigation brought against Colorado water users, while Kansas sought an equitable apportionment of the Arkansas River.

2.   It also would allow state court litigation over HMO medical coverage denials that adversely affect health.

3.   Some parties, including New York City and several labor unions, have indicated they may challenge the final merger approval with court litigation.

4.   This is because they can get their money early instead of having to wait and go through the often cumbersome process of court litigation.
