1.   Double-click on a drive icon and a window opens that contains icons representing programs and documents, and folders representing directories.

2.   Each article with such a link contains an icon.

3.   The desktop folder contains icons for the hard drive and any floppies inserted.

4.   The tool bar at the top of the screen contains icons for frequent tasks.

5.   When you boot up Windows XP, the first screen that appears contains icons for each of the users who has entered a user profile into the system.

6.   The command tool bar contains icons for users to add shapes and elements into their charts.
