1.   His life story could have come straight from one of his classic blues songs.

2.   And in his maturity, he is closer than ever to the clear-eyed fatalism of classic blues.

3.   At registration, I was given a plastic room card in a folder that also contained a CD of some classic blues.

4.   He also played guitar and occasionally piano, singing classic Delta blues with a pensive, haunted voice.

5.   There is the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman, as much an inspiration for classic blues as cheap liquor or busted love.

6.   A majority of the jackets come in graphic checks in spicy mustards and browns or muted greens and greys to classic navy blues.

7.   This album is a nice enough collection of classic blues and soul tracks, if not quite superior to the first Blues Brothers album.
