1.   The accused was charged with obtaining three girocheques by deception, the deception being that he was unemployed when in fact he was working.

2.   The accused was charged with obtaining a pecuniary advantage by deception.

3.   Under a settlement of charges, the accused can be charged with civil contempt if it again commits violations.

4.   A judge later decides if there is a case, then formally charges the accused before beginning the trial, which can last several years.

5.   It may take two to three weeks for the CBI to complete formalities before charging the accused in court.

6.   The accused are charged with belonging to the outlawed al-Gamaa and of conspiring to commit murder.

7.   The accused was also charged with committing two other murders in Kazakhstan, a former Soviet republic.

8.   The hearing will continue Friday when the court is expected to pass judgment on whether the accused should be formally charged.

9.   The other accused have been charged with aggravated assault.
