1.   A ceiling finish can be applied over the Tyvek or Typar.

2.   In fact, in an existing cathedral ceiling, it is impossible without removing the ceiling finish.

3.   The vents are set between rafters of my attic, with insulation between the vents and the ceiling finish.

4.   To do this, the ceiling finish must be removed.
