1.   Boil over high heat until the sugar turns a rich caramel color.

2.   Add tobacco and sugar, and stir until mixture turns a pale caramel color.

3.   Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, and simmer until a deep caramel color.

4.   Continue cooking until sugar underneath begins to turn a light caramel color.

5.   Continue cooking until mixture is light caramel color.

6.   Gold tequilas are generally blancos with a little caramel color added.

7.   It is merely silver tequila with caramel color and flavoring added.

8.   Melt sugar to caramel color with a propane torch or place under the broiler.

9.   One panelist noticed the caramel color could be rubbed off with his fingers.

10.   Outside walls are the traditional caramel color of old adobe.
