1.   ACCI Chief Executive Ian Spicer said manufacturers again reported falls in output and orders in the March quarter and that capacity use declined.

2.   Capacity use is nearing its peak because the growth rate of companies ability to produce has not matched the pace of economic output, the report said.

3.   Capacity use also declined, the organization said, suggesting slack demand for processed products is forcing less crushing.

4.   One of the main indicators of rising capacity use is a falling unemployment rate.

5.   It said there were other indicators of a revival in the economy, with industrial capacity use rising last month and signs of increased consumer demand.
