1.   An examination of previous pictures of brown dwarfs taken by the Hubble Space Telescope revealed faint traces of the disks, which had been overlooked.

2.   An infrared photograph of a cluster of new stars and objects called brown dwarfs, which are believed to form like stars but are dimmer.

3.   And most of them did turn out to be something else, like a dim star, not a brown dwarf.
