Clouds will be most persistent in the central Appalachians where increasingly moist breezes ascend the sloping terrain. 3. Farther west, clouds and showers will be common near the east slopes of the central Rockies where moist breezes ascend the sloping terrain. 4. Intermittent light snow will persist, especially where breezes ascend the sloping terrain. 5. Patchy light snow and flurries will be common in the Arctic air, especially where breezes ascend the sloping terrain. 6. Patchy light snow will fall, especially where the cold breezes ascend the sloping terrain. 7. Scattered showers will accompany the chill, especially from the Cascades and points west, where moist ocean breezes ascend the terrain. |
