1.   Such feed has been banned.

2.   All animal-based feed already is banned for cattle in Switzerland.

3.   All transport of pigs and feed has been banned.

4.   The EU has also banned animal feed containing cattle remains, although it admits that some may still be in use.

5.   These include destroying potentially infected organs at slaughter houses, closely monitoring herds for new cases, and banning animal feed believed responsible for spreading the disease.

6.   On Wednesday the current Agriculture Minister Philippe Vasseur accused the Socialists of failing to act by being too slow to ban the feed.
