1.   Governing bodies in Oakland, San Francisco and Berkeley approved resolutions urging the company to adopt ecologically sound procurement policies.

2.   On Thursday delegates approved a resolution calling for a two-year ban on dumping radioactive wastes in the sea.

3.   The anti-Yeltsin Duma approved a resolution in mid-March calling for restoration of the Soviet Union.

4.   The conference also approved resolutions to cut class sizes and protect teachers from undue stress.

5.   It was later confirmed that Libya and Djibouti had also refrained from approving the resolution.

6.   Both German parliaments approve a resolution recognising the inviolability of the Oder-Neisse border with Poland.

7.   Three days later the UN Security Council approved a resolution, without a vote, which recommended membership for both states.

8.   They approved a resolution declaring that bloody events in Georgia were started by former party bureaucrats, communist mafia and criminal gangs.

9.   A similar resolution was approved by the House of Representatives in June, but by a much smaller margin.
