1.   Kakar was referring to the killing and alleged mutilation of an Indian army officer and five soldiers early in the two-month conflict.

2.   One witness, identified only by the letter H., told the court he took part in the alleged mutilation but said he did not see Tadic.

3.   Tadic, a Bosnian Serb, is accused of taking part in the alleged mutilation.

4.   The alleged sexual mutilation and beating of other prisoners, which prosecutors claim left four Muslims dead, carries seven separate charges.
