4.   Moderate to locally heavy rains are possible farther north over North Dakota, northern Minnesota and northern Michigan, where humid air interacts with a stalled cool front.

5.   Moist air will interact with advancing chill to produce a wind-driven snowstorm across Montana and North Dakota.

6.   Potent thunderstorms will erupt over the northern Plains as warm, moist air interacts with a jet stream disturbance and a cool front.

7.   Scattered showers and thunder are also expected across the Great Lakes states as moist air interacts with a broad low pressure zone in Illinois.

8.   Scattered strong and severe thunderstorms will race across the Northeast on Friday as warm, humid air interacts with a cold front and a strong jet stream disturbance.

9.   Thunderstorms will erupt in a broken band by the late afternoon from Missouri to Texas as warm, humid air interacts with a strong jet stream disturbance.

10.   Valley showers will develop, especially in the afternoon, as the cool air interacts with the sun-warmed ground.
