1.   He points out that thousands of aging Holocaust survivors throughout the world are receiving nothing or very little as reparations and are unable to afford critically needed medical care.

2.   The United States, Israel and various European countries then participated in an effort to speed up compensation to aging Holocaust survivors.

3.   Under international pressure, Swiss banks recently set up a multimillion dollar humanitarian fund to give aid to aging Holocaust survivors until the bank account claims can be resolved.

4.   In March last year, a Japanese government delegation visited North Korea to conduct surveys on ageing survivors of atomic bombing in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
