1.   In the meantime, the Reiters vow to pursue their adoption petition as far as the Supreme Court, arguing that separation would cause Baby J irreparable harm.

2.   It already has another adoption case on its docket in which an Oneida family court judge turned down an adoption petition because the couple were not married.

3.   The Immigration and Naturalization Service has suspended the processing of adoption petitions in Cambodia, citing concerns over bought or stolen babies being sold to American parents.

4.   The court will deal with family disputes such as maintenance payments, adoption petitions, protection orders against spousal violence and child abuse.
