1.   Aside from the school and the few homes, Valentine is now little more than a cluster of adobe ruins and shuttered businesses linked by dirt roads.

2.   The state park houses a museum, the barely visible adobe ruins of the old fort, and several other buildings of historical interest.

3.   There are adobe ruins at Terlingua Abaja, and bits of broken glass and ceramics, and heaps of rusted metal that used to be things mechanical.

4.   Officials had to fly in pumps to empty the water that washed away many friezes and badly eroded adobe ruins.
