71.   Hurricane warnings were posted in seven southern Florida counties and the Bahamas on Monday as tropical storm Erin gained strength while moving east through the Bahamas.

72.   Hurricane warnings were posted for Barbados, Dominica, Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

73.   Hurricane warnings were posted for the southeastern Bahamas and the Turks and Caicos islands and a hurricane watch was in effect in eastern Cuba.

74.   Hurricane warnings were posted for the Turks and Caicos, the southeastern Bahamas and the northern Dominican Republic.

75.   Hurricane warnings were posted from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, to the North Carolina-Virginia state line.

76.   Hurricane warnings were posted from South Carolina to Virginia.

77.   Hurricane warnings were posted on Antigua, Montserrat, Barbuda, Nevis, St. Kitts, Anguilla, St. Barthelemy and Dutch and French St. Martin.

78.   Hurricane warnings or advisories were issued from South Carolina to Delaware, and a tropical storm warning was posted along the New Jersey shoreline.

79.   Hurricane warnings were posted as far north as Plymouth, Mass. Public schools were closed for the day across New Jersey and in New York City.

80.   Hurricane warnings were posted for much of the already battered North Carolina coast today as Tropical Storm Dennis strengthened slightly and headed for land.
