61.   Sri Lanka and India have stepped up naval patrols to prevent an exodus of Tamil refugees fleeing to neighbouring southern India, a senior minister said here Friday.

62.   The case was registered after a naval patrol intercepted a boat allegedly carrying saboteurs.

63.   The boat had originated at Negombo, near the international airport and travelled deep down south to avoid naval patrols before entering international shipping lanes.
