61.   The Taliban militia said Saturday that its fighters severely beat and detained a Red Cross official in Kabul because he tried to escape a night patrol after curfew.

62.   Meanwhile, the Iranian-backed Shiite Moslem fundamentalist Hezbollah militia said Monday it had launched an attack against senior Israeli officials visiting the buffer zone.

63.   On Thursday, two farmers were killed in a bomb explosion in a region held by the SLA, just north of the zone, the militia said.

64.   One appeared to be Arab and Afghan militia said another was Pakistani.

65.   One died later from his wounds, the militia said.

66.   The bomb was detonated as their patrol drove along a road on the edge of the zone, the militia said.

67.   The fundamentalist Taliban militia said it had accepted a ceasefire proposal on condition that an exchange of prisoners was carried out simultaneously.

68.   The Iranian-backed Hezbollah claimed an explosion in south Lebanon Saturday which it said killed four pro-Israeli militiamen, but which the militia said left one civilian dead.

69.   The militia has said for several weeks they would attack Kabul if Rabbani did not step down.

70.   The militia said another SLA post, in the western sector of the zone, also came under guerrilla fire, but without any casualties.
