52.   Farther west, dry, gusty winds from the southwest will direct very mild air into the western Great Lakes and central Plains.

53.   Gusty breezes from the southwest will send very mild air from the lower Mississippi valley into most of the eastern states.

54.   Gusty winds from the west will deliver mild air across the northern Rockies and western Plains.

55.   High above Barrow, an incursion of mild air caused snowflakes to melt into raindrops, which, in turn, froze on contact with cold surfaces below.
