51.   Moist air ascending the higher terrain will cause snow in the northwest Rockies.

52.   Moist winds from the east ascending the higher terrain will result in clusters of afternoon showers and thunderstorms across the mountains of New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah.

53.   More than a foot of new snow will fall on the higher terrain from southern Wyoming to northern New Mexico.

54.   Mostly cloudy skies will cover the northern areas of New York and New England where light showers and drizzle will persist, especially over the higher terrain.

55.   Near the western edge of this band of steady rain, snow will fall in the Black Hills of South Dakota and in the higher terrain of eastern Wyoming.

56.   One to three inches of rain is possible, especially in the higher terrain where moist air is forced to ascend.

57.   Onshore winds will produce drizzle at the shore and periods of light snow over the higher terrain of the Northeast.

58.   Periods of snow will accumulate several inches in northern New York and Vermont with snow showers dusting the higher terrain of the northern Appalachians.
