51.   Belgian prosecutors allege that he took part in a grenade attack on two policemen who chased a car with Luxembourg registration plates in the southeastern town of Bastogne.

52.   Earlier Monday, a police spokesman said detectives had been chasing a car following a tip-off when the men opened fire after being ordered to stop.

53.   The patrol chased the car into the neighbouring suburb of Ifako before a pitched battle broke out, during which two more policemen were killed.
