51. The report accused the government of abdicating its responsibility, and society of justifying the continued systematic destruction of an indigenous culture, language and spirituality. 52. Earlier in the month the human rights organization Amnesty International accused the government of human rights abuses. 53. It condemned the use of secret trials and accused the government of refusing to allow the free expression of opposition views. 54.
