41.   Soil stacks and valleys have metal flashing and roofing cement to make them watertight.

42.   Spread a liberal coat of roofing cement under the shingle, then slide a new shingle under the old one and on top of the layer of cement.

43.   Spread roofing cement over the leak with a putty knife and smooth out so the patched section is as level as possible.

44.   The roofing cement will give a good seal between pipe and hydraulic cement.

45.   The roofing cement could last indefinitely.

46.   The stone dust will stick to the roofing cement and will last a lot longer than a few weeks.

47.   The second way is to lift each shingle and dab roofing cement, liberally, under that shingle, then press in place.

48.   Then take off the new and slather roofing cement on the old roof, along the edges and in the middle.

49.   Thin the roofing cement with mineral spirits then brush it on all areas where the paint has worn thin.

50.   This roofing cement should also go under the shingles along the eave edge of the roof.
