41.   British MP Norman Godman told AFP he would be among those observing the elections there.

42.   Yeltsin said he would visit several polling stations Sunday to observe the elections, and would follow the voting all day and night, resuming work Monday morning.

43.   Jack Murtha, a US Congressman travelling with the delegation observing the elections, said that they appeared to have been fair.

44.   Meanwhile the Carter Center, which observed the election, said Sunday that it has serious concerns over the tabulation of results.

45.   Only last week SADC, through parliamentarians who are here observing the elections, acknowledged that the election campaign has been riddled with violence.

46.   Palestinian delegates had been sent to Germany, South Africa, France and the Dominican Republic to observe elections.

47.   The Council of Europe delegation was one of several international groups to observe the elections Sunday.

48.   The Carter Center said Friday it would send a delegation, at the invitation of the Chinese government, to observe village elections in China next month.

49.   The elections will be observed by a delegation from the Council of Europe which will visit polling stations in Minsk and the provinces.
