44.   Farther east, a broad area of southerly winds will transport unseasonably mild air north into the Upper Mississippi Valley and Great Lakes on Wednesday.

45.   Farther south, a surge of mild air will send an area of heavy rain toward the Oregon coast.

46.   Farther north, sunshine will mix with clouds from the Great Lakes states to the interior Northeast as a new surge of mild air heads toward these regions.

47.   Farther south, rain will fall in the mild air over southeastern Texas.

48.   Exceptionally mild air will cover the East Coast states again Tuesday as gusty winds from the southwest precede an approaching cold front.

49.   Exceptionally mild air will surge north from the eastern Gulf Coast to central Virginia ahead of a cold front.

50.   Farther north, clouds and areas of light snow will occur near a front marking the boundary between relative mild air and the Arctic air covering most of Canada.
