41.   Economy Minister Jorge Remes Lenicov said he will improve tax collections and make big cuts in most areas except social spending.

42.   Finance Minister Mikhail Zadornov said Monday the government could not rule out a ruble devaluation if tax collection is not improved.

43.   Government efforts to improve tax collection appear to be improving to the point where Russia may forego another Eurobond issue later this year, according to a report Monday.

44.   He also cited recent moves deregulating foreign exchange trading, opening the banking industry to more foreign banks and improving revenue collection.

45.   He added that there were also plans to adopt the corporatisation policy of tithe collection in several States which had improved their collections.

46.   He is expected to improve tax collection and tighten government spending.

47.   He said he would improve tax collection, maintain a tight monetary policy and respect contracts signed with foreign oil companies.

48.   He said that in order to implement budget increases, the government will implement austerity measures by cutting unnecessary expenditures and improving revenue collection.

49.   He said the government was going to make major public sector reforms aimed at reducing the public domestic debt and budget deficit and improving revenue collection.

50.   However, in agreeing to the loan, Russia promised to push through a reform program that would lower the deficit and improve tax collection.
