31.   Chief Justice William Cox will also hear pleas in mitigation, if any, which could include evidence from clinical experts and character witnesses.

32.   The plenary sessions are to focus on the stalled Middle East peace process and hear a plea by Palestinian President Yasser Arafat for pressure on Israel.

33.   The court heard the pleas from the two main accused, Hajzer Hajzeraj and Haxhi Ferati, on Monday.

34.   The judges who heard the plea said they would announce their decision later in the day after a further hearing which would take place behind closed doors.
