31.   Bosnian Serbs have agreed to allow a fuel convoy, blocked on the outskirts of Sarajevo since Saturday, into town, a UN Protection Force spokesman said Monday.

32.   Bosnian Serbs have been preventing UN fuel convoys and those carrying special winter relief equipment from crossing their territory.

33.   Bosnian Serbs made one exception Monday, allowing a small fuel convoy into the city.

34.   Despite assurances from Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic to visiting UN special envoy Yasushi Akashi on Saturday, all fuel convoys remained blocked on Monday, UN officials said.

35.   For the past few weeks, they have consistently barred UNPROFOR fuel convoys from besieged Moslem-held enclaves, including Sarajevo.

36.   UN relief and fuel convoys have been increasingly prevented from travelling freely in Bosnia by the Serbs, who have blocked several convoys in recent weeks.

37.   Meanwhile UNPROFOR called Wednesday for the Bosnian Serbs to stop blocking the arrival of a fuel convoy into Sarajevo.

38.   Meanwhile, UNPROFOR said Tuesday that the Serbs had again refused to allow UN fuel convoys into the besieged Moslem-held enclaves of eastern Bosnia.

39.   On Wednesday, Bosnian Serbs denied clearance to nine UN fuel convoys headed for the eastern Moslem-held enclaves and Sarajevo, spokesman Thant Myint-U said.

40.   Over the past month, the Serbs have refused clearance to all but two UN fuel convoys, and stocks in town are now dangerously low.
