22.   Later on Wednesday, as cold air is drawn into the low, some snow will develop across western and central parts of Kansas and Nebraska.

23.   Locally heavy mountain snows will develop as moisture-laden winds ascend west-facing slopes.

24.   Locally heavy snow will develop in the northern Sierra and will linger into Tuesday as moist high-level winds from the southwest persist.

25.   Meanwhile, snow will develop and become locally heavy in the eastern Dakotas and northern Minnesota as low pressure strengthens rapidly near Lake Superior.

26.   Moderate to heavy rains are possible, particularly at low elevations of west-facing slopes of the Coastal Range, while heavy snow develops in the Sierra Nevada.

27.   North of the front, winds ascending the sloping terrain will produce clouds, while patchy snow develops in the northern Rockies.

28.   Overnight, snow will develop in the eastern Ohio valley and the central Appalachians.

29.   Patchy light snow will then develop as a weak jet stream disturbance approaches.

30.   Patchy snow will develop in the western high Plains as moist winds from the east ascend the sloping terrain.
