21. Afternoon cumulus will be numerous over the higher terrain of New England and streamers of high clouds will be evident from the northern Ohio Valley to Virginia. 22. Afternoon thunder will be common over the higher terrain from eastern Arizona to southern Wyoming. 23. Cloudy skies along with a few flurries are expected in the higher terrain of Maine. 24. Clouds and scattered showers will accompany the chill, especially over the Cascades and Bitterroot Mountains where the air is forced to ascend the higher terrain. 25. Clouds will mix with sunshine, although a few sprinkles will occur inland over the higher terrain. 26. Clouds and a few patches of light snow will develop over the higher terrain and in Maine. 27. Clouds will also be abundant from the northern Arizona mountains to the Sierra Nevada, as the moisture is forced to rise up and over the higher terrain. 28. Clouds will cover much of the West Coast while scattered showers form over the higher terrain in the interior. 29. Colder air aloft will lead to billowy clouds forming over the higher terrain, and there will be a few showers in northern New England. 30. Farther west, areas of heavy, wet snow will occur from the higher terrain of northeastern New Mexico to the panhandles of Texas and Oklahoma. |
