21.   Egypt was to have launched an air bridge for Libyan pilgrims on Thursday flying to Mecca for the annual pilgrimage known as the hajj after the UN exemption.

22.   The UNCHCR suspended its air bridge to Sarajevo earlier this week because of escalating Serb-Moslem clashes.

23.   Two US military cargo planes meanwhile headed to Africa with equipment to set up an air bridge to ferry humanitarian supplies to Rwanda.

24.   Meanwhile two Egyptian planes landed in Libya to launch an air bridge to transport pilgrims to Mecca under an agreement with the United Nations, despite the violation.
