21.   Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will erupt in parts of the Rockies.

22.   Afternoon showers will bubble up over the southern Rockies while seasonal heat covers the interior Southwest.

23.   Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will form across the Tennessee Valley as a disturbance drifts to the west.

24.   But a few afternoon showers or thunderstorms will erupt as a jet stream disturbance passes overhead.

25.   But I took part in just such a conversation in August, during a delay caused by an afternoon shower.

26.   Despite considerable clouds, it will be rather mild and humid over the Southeast with afternoon showers developing in Georgia and western Florida.

27.   Developing cumulus clouds in the Rockies will produce a few afternoon showers.

28.   Elsewhere in the Northeast, clouds will mix with some sunshine, but scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms will form in the humid air mass.

29.   Elsewhere, afternoon showers will also develop across parts of the Southwest.

30.   Farther north, a weak disturbance will produce a few afternoon showers from the Catskills to the mountains of northern New England.
