21.   Severe drought and food shortages could soon affect large portions of southern Africa due to decreased rainfall this year, according to a report issued Friday.

22.   Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms have been moving quickly across the area this morning, affecting portions of all of our islands.

23.   Showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop first and be more concentrated across the interior of Puerto Rico then spread out to affect other portions of the island.

24.   Strong to severe showers and thunderstorms were forecast to move into the Great Plains from the west and affect portions of South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas.

25.   Some of these showers affected portions of the Virgin Islands and east and southeast Puerto Rico.

26.   Swells were expected to affect portions of the southeast U.S. Atlantic coast.

27.   Strong southerly winds were to affect portions of the Plains and upper Mississippi Valley.

28.   The trough may also affect portions of the local area with increased showers on Monday.

29.   This feature may affect portions of the Virgin Islands this afternoon with very light precipitation.

30.   They will periodically affect portions of the U.S. Virgin Islands and Culebra and Vieques throughout the afternoon and evening.
